Wednesday, October 26, Mrs. Ward's Ridgeland High School Accounting I class took tours of two local accounting firms: Horne LLP CPA and Grantham Poole. Tours were conducted for the students to see the accountants at work. A Powerpoint presentation gave the students an overview of the careers available in an accounting firm. Office managers answered student questions and explained the requirements for becoming an accountant. The students enjoyed learning about the application and interviewing process. After visiting the accounting firms, the Accounting I students shared lunch together at a local restaurant.
