Course Description:
The aim of this course is to develop vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills that will enable the student to write well-constructed and grammatically satisfactory composition.
Classroom Expectations:
· Be Respectful- Respect yourself and others. Use manners. Follow directions.
· Be Responsible- Turn assignments in on time. Use class time wisely. Clean up after yourself.
· Be Ready- Have needed materials. Be on time and ready to learn.

About Mrs. Boyd-Jones
Welcome, I teach English and Language Arts. This is my 12th year teaching in the Madison County School District. This is my tenth year teaching at Madison County Academic Options Center. I am a product of the Madison County School District. I graduated high school from Velma Jackson, earned a B.A. in English from Mississippi Valley State University, and earned a Masters degree from University of Phoenix. I am excited about this school year. My primary goal is to contribute to my students success. I look forward to great year.
